Carver Heights Elementary School Garden

What a wonderful way to spend our weekly club meeting at Carver Heights Elementary School and help promote Peace in our community. With the help of a community grant, the heart and determination of Communities Supporting Schools Resource Director Gale Lewis and Prinicpal Winter Goodsen, and many generous donations from community churches, businesses, and friends, a new trauma focused therapy community garden is being Installed in the heart of the school’s campus this week.

Our club donated this beautiful copper top bird feeder to invited feathered friends to the area and to add to this sensory garden to help CHES students with anxiety and aggression, build life skills, problem Solving, enjoy outdoor learning, yoga, and artistic expression, all while tapping in to their five senses.
